Once a student is enrolled, a packet including a camp schedule, code of conduct, and the music for ensemble performance will be mailed.
Students are expected to learn the music for their solo and ensemble performance, with their private teacher, before attending camp.
Students will not only hone their chamber music skills, but will also receive coaching in music theory, music history, expression through music and even "movement in music"!
Why Chamber Music?
We believe that involving young musicians in chamber music provides another venue for them to grow in their creativity and is fundamental to their musical development.
mission & vision
Our goal is to inspire musical growth in young musicians through community, exploration and performance.
The Vivace Music Institute Preparatory Ensemble is a week long morning camp for young musicians ages 4 and 5 who play stringed instruments, piano and harp and who are currently studying with a private instructor. The camp is held at the Point Loma Seventh-Day Adventist Church campus and offers students the opportunity to grow musically both inwardly and outwardly. The 2-hour daily class will consist of Suzuki ensemble time, musical games and lots of fun!
